Setting:

This book takes place in present times, in an average town like Arcadia. The book is focused around a high school and the main character's house.

Point of view:

The point of view in this book is set in the 1st person. The narrator is the main character Pip.

Summary:

Pip, the main character, is pretty big into the magical plant marijuana, and also likes to drink. He has gotten himself into a fair amount of trouble because of that and has gotten caught by his principal, Giraldi. He is given two options that involve staying out of trouble. Find out what those options are and how Pip ends up by reading this book.

Characters:

Pip Downs- protagonist. Druggie kid who gets caught using. He has a rough homelife because of his alcoholic father and needy little brother.
Giraldi- antagonist. Principal at the high school. He's the guy who gives Pip the two choices to stay out of trouble.
Mikey- minor character. Pip's younger brother. He never runs out of questions to ask Pip.

Conflicts:

The main conflict in this book is that Pip likes to get high, alot, and his principal wants him clean. The conflict vs. Pip's principal is external.

Theme:

D.A.R.E.- Drugs are really evil. Dont do drugs, they can... and probably will mess up your whole life.
